INTERNET BROWSER SELECTION

A browser is basically a software for browsing the worldwide web. There are a host of browsers available today from which you can chose depending on what are your web needs. Most popular browsers today are Internet Explorer, Mozilla firefox, Opera, Safari, Netscape Navigator and more recently Google Chrone
Each of these browsers varies in terms of security, speed, picture properties and download behaviours.
Personally i use Google Chrome more often. Its a very fast browser with high internet security. Let me quickly add that you can use more than one browser in your computer. In my case, I have Google Chrome, Internet explorer, Firefox as well as Opera installed in my system. Now lets look at these browsers briefly.

INTERNET EXPLORER
This browser is developed by Microsoft and is arguably the most used browser in the world today. It comes with the Microsoft Windows system.

GOOGLE CHROME
This browser is produce by google and it was commecially release in 2008. The last time i checked, it was the fourth most widely used browser. Using the compatability tab in it property dialogue box, it can be made to be compactible with older window versions like window 95, 98/ME, NT 4.0(service pack 5) as well as window 2000.

MOZILLA FIREFOX
This is an open source browser with a lot of user friendly features. It is beleived to be the second most used browser in the world and is owned by Mozilla. It allows you to open multiple pages in a single window and it caches pages you have visited. These features are also obtainable with Chrome.

OPERA
This browser is more popular with internet enabled mobile phones (opera mini and opera for mobile). The computer version of opera is not as popular as other browser, but it is compatible with most operating systems like linus, Solaris, Mac OS X and windows. Opera is developed by Opera Softwares

SAFARI
This is Apple's browser which also have both the computer and the i-phone version. The computer version is compatible with both Microsoft windows and Mac OS X. It boast of high end features like Voice over Screen Reader, Grammer Checking, Auto fill and Life Connect.

NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR
This browser, developed by Netscape Communications, was more popular in the 90s and is getting less and less popular these days.
